I always say your local pizza spot has the best food and Pat's is the epitome of that. Surprisingly, there are known for their cheesesteaks. Came during dinner rush and got my food super quick. I got the large Pats special and it was amazing. Hot sauce, peppers, cheese, and a super generous amount of steak, the sandwich was amazing. Would come back!
Amazing cheese pull, crunchy thin crust and the sauce has a lot of flavor and the perfect amount! We also got a salad and it was very fresh and well dressed.
Call ahead of time and remember your order number. Best California Cheesesteaks! Highly recommend. Good pizza too.
Different cheesesteak #1058 in the last five years. Sign says, 'home of the famous cheesesteak.' Should say 'home of the famous cheesesteak roll.' It appeared to me that the roll was the only thing that made it different from any other pizza shop cheesesteak. I got a cheesesteak with fried onions and mushrooms. The roll did play very nicely with the mushrooms. $10.40 for a small at lunch time, that seemed very pricey.
My first cheesesteak was in South Jersey circa 1969 and I've been hooked on them since then. They had several joints down there that were just as good as anything across the river in Philly. This is not the case for the Jersey Shore however where mediocre cheesesteaks abound. So it is not often that I find a really good example of the traditional Philly steak, that's this good. Enter - home of the famous cheesesteak - Pat's Pizza for their awesome steaks. Everything done right: thinly sliced and diced steak on the flat top along with the proper cheeses and excellent bread lightly toasted. Simply the best in these parts of Jersey. If you're hankering for a great cheesesteak just pay them a visit.
